Big League Clew is finally back with some new dirt on what has been happening in the College Basketball world!

Yes I took some time to sift through the dirt on these stories in order to bring you the very best of what has been taking place in college basketball this past week. I hope you thoroughly enjoy them. I mean who knows, I might also sneak in a little bit of college football for old times sake, since it was the end of the College Bowl season last week too.

Major upsets this weekend!!

This weekend, four top 25 teams got upset. To start, #22 San Diego State beat #12 UNLV, unranked Oklahoma beat #18 Kansas State, and unranked Northwestern beat #6 Michigan State. However, the Wildcats were outdone by what could be the biggest upset of the year by far, #3 North Carlonina losing to unranked Florida State 90-57!! FSU Guard Deividas Dulkys exploded for 32 points against UNC in the shocking win.

Where the heck did Murray State come from?

As college hoops fans aware, there are only three undefeated teams remaining in the top 25: #15 Murray State, #4 Baylor, and #1 Syracuse (more on the Orange later). I covered many teams in my famous mid-major conference road trips, but purposefully left out Murray St., since they were already nationally ranked (the objective of the Road Trip was to find schools nobody has heard of and make all of my readers aware). Well Murray State, here’s your five minutes of fame right now! They continued their dominance in the Ohio Valley conference with a tough fought victory last night against Tennessee Tech (a game I happend to catch while at the sports bar watching the madness that was the NFL playoffs). I was not overly impressed, but looking ahead at the remaining conference schedule (not saying it should be a cakewalk), hey… it doesnt look that difficult for the Racers to waltz into the big dance even if they happen to lose the conference tournament.

Syracuse…19-0

As I mentioned before, #1 Ranked Syracuse has improved to 19-0 on the year after yet another dominating performance against Providence last night in a 78-55 win. With the win, the Orange match their school best winning streak (they also started the year 19-0 in the 1999-2000 season). Can they get to 20-0? Their next opponent is Pitt, Monday night at the carrier dome, so all of you die hard Orange fans should definitly be watching this one!

Bernie Fine accuser admits fabricating molestation charge

Sticking with the topic of Syracuse Basketball… According to Yahoo Sports, Floyd VanHooser (one of Bernie Fine’s accusers) lied. VanHooser states that he lied about former Syracuse assistant coach Bernie Fine sexually molesting him more than 40 years ago to get back at Fine for not helping him hire a lawyer for a criminal conviction. Stay classy in jail my friend…..oh and that will be another 10 years added to your sentence for lying to police, you dirtbag.

Alabama wins the National Championship

As I said, it is the end of the college football season and I figured I would end this post by congratulating the Alabama Crimson Tide for their 21-0 victory over LSU in what was one of the most hyped re-matches of the college football season…once again, congrats to the Tide!

About Big League Clu

Clu Haywood leads the league in most offensive categories, including nose hair. When he sneezes, he looks like a party favor. Also, he's been known to hit the ball "too high" and alleges to have illegitimately fathered Jake Tayor's non-existent children. You can also find him on Twitter @bigleagueclu
